As you can probably tell, Glossier has been a stand out brand for me this month. Much like pretty much everyone else on the planet, I’m completely obsessed with every single one of their products. Most of you will know by now that ‘no makeup’ makeup is my favourite kind of look to wear so of course I’ve ended up falling in love with the Glossier Skin Tints. The Skin Tints are great for those days when you don’t feel like wearing any makeup but you still want a little bit of coverage to even out the skin tone and make you look a little more awake. I would say that the Skin Tints feel even *lighter* than a tinted moisturiser, so if full coverage foundation is your thang then you’re probably not going to love these, but in general they give your skin a beautiful dewy finish which looks super natural. I’ve been really enjoying dabbing some of my Glossier Cloud Paint over the top of my Skin Tint to really enhance the dewiness and give my cheeks a healthy-looking flush of colour. If you’re new to the world of cream blushes these are a really great place to start because you can build them up as much or as little as you want. Lately I’ve been wearing the shade ‘Haze’ but I also love ‘Beam’ which gives my skin a peachy glow.
The Clinique ‘Take The Day Off’ Cleansing Balm has been a cult classic for quite some time but I’ve only recently re-discovered my love for it. I have super duper sensitive skin so it can be tough for me to find a cleanser that doesn’t irritate my skin or dry it out completely. This Clinique cleansing balm is amazing because it leaves my skin feeling baby soft and fresher than ever. The balm is easy peasy to apply; just take some of the product in your hand and warm it up between your fingertips before massaging it onto dry skin. Once my makeup has dissolved I’ll take a cotton pad and wipe some of my Garnier Micellar Water over my face, eyes and lips to make there’s not a single speck of makeup left on my skin. Lately I’ve also been obsessed with the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask. Not only did I end up falling in love with this mask because it’s BRIGHT PURPLE (I legit look like an alien with it on) but also because it does an incredible job at illuminating my complexion and giving my skin a natural-looking glow. Any Tatcha fans out there I urge you to try the Violet C Mask, it’s amazing!
I’ve been reaching for the Pureology ‘Hydrating’ Shampoo and Conditioner pretty much every time I’m in the shower lately. I’ve used Pureology products ever since I started dying my hair because they do a great job at gently cleansing and nourishing your tresses without stripping the colour in any way. Another reason why I love this shampoo and conditioner so much is because they smell INCREDIBLE! The scent is super fresh and kinda minty thanks to the blend of bergamot, ylang ylang and patchouli. My hair tends to look and feel quite flat during the warmer weather I’ve been reaching for my Aveda Thickening Tonic pretty much every day this Summer. All I do is just spray some of the tonic into the roots of my hair before massaging it in. I was kind of sceptical about this stuff before I used it but trust me when I say that it actually does work! A couple of pumps leaves my hair feeling thicker and helps my style to last all day. This stuff really packed a punch!
Onto body care now and first up I have to mention the ‘Restoring Body Lotion’ by a brand called Mixa. I picked up a bottle of this lotion after my wonderful friend Alex Steinherr told me how much she loved it and since then I’ve been using it every day! What I love the most about this lotion is that it absorbs super quickly so I can slather it onto my skin in the morning and get dressed pretty much immediately! This stuff is nice and lightweight but it’s also super nourishing so I think it’s going to be a great lotion to reach for during the winter months too. A fragrance that I’ve been obsessed with this Summer is called ‘Skin’ by the brand ‘Clean Reserve’. I find it so hard to describe perfumes in a way that actually does them any justice (lol) but I love this one because it smells quite neutral and fresh and kinda just enhances the natural scent of your skin. Sounds weird I know but trust me when I say that this perfume is super stunning and actually really unique. What’s cool about the brand ‘Clean’ is that their ingredients are responsibly sourced and their manufacturing and packaging is eco-conscious. I’m so happy to have discovered this brand and I’m confident you guys will love their stuff just as much as I do. Give my August Faves video a watch to see what else I’ve been swooning over this month!
