JUNE BEAUTY FAVOURITES

26th Jun 2017 - Beauty

It’s been a while since I put together a ‘Favourites’ post for my blog, but since I’ve been obsessed with so many gorgeous things this month I thought it was only right that I put a lil’ something together for June. I’ve been reaching for the same products over the last few weeks, some of them are completely new to me but many are my tried and tested faves! I hope you guys enjoy learning a little bit more about the things that have been floating my boat during the month of June.

It Cosmetics ‘Your Skin But Better’ CC Cream

First up I just have to talk about the It Cosmetics ‘Your Skin But Better’ CC Cream. I have been literally OBSESSED with this product so I just had to include this in my favourites. What I love the most about this cc cream is that it actually has SPF 50 (yes, 50!) as well as UVA and UVB, so it’s especially great to wear during the Summer months. In terms of coverage, this cc cream is super versatile; I like to wear a light to medium coverage so I’ll just go ahead and apply the product with a damp beauty blender. However if you need something with a bit more coverage then this stuff is great because you’re able to build up the product as much or as little as you need without looking cakey. I’m literally always telling my friends that they need to get their hands on one of these babies, so just trust me when I say that you NEED to try the It Cosmetics CC Cream if you haven’t already.

It Cosmetics ‘Brow Power’ Universal Brow Pencil

Another product by It Cosmetics that I’ve been loving is the ‘Brow Power’ Universal Brow Pencil. Now, I have to be honest, I have a real love hate relationship with this pencil, and the reason I have such a relationship with this product is because I only used this a couple of times before the pencil BROKE!! Not only that but I spoke to a couple of other people who had used the Brow Power and they said that theirs also broke pretty much as soon as they used it! Breakages aside, I actually really love this product. I have my pencil in the shade ‘Universal Taupe’ and what’s great about this product is that it’s supposed to work with any skin tone or eyebrow colour! (Amazing right?) I can’t speak for everyone but what I do know is that this shade works perfectly with my brows and I would go as far to say that this is the best eyebrow shade I’ve ever used! So It Cosmetics, if you’re reading this, please do something to stop your brow pencils from breaking because I absolutely love them!

By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow ‘Misty Rock’

I’m a total By Terry fangirl so I just had to include one of the beautiful By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadows in my June favourites. If you’ve never tried the Ombre Blackstar eyeshadows then you’re seriously missing out because I absolutely ADORE these babies. You all know that I hate faffing around and spending hours doing my makeup and what’s great about these cream shadows is that they’re super easy to apply. You can literally just apply the product straight to your eyelid and blend it out with your fingers which is great! I love every single one of the Ombre Blackstar shadows but I’d have to say that my all time favourite shade is Misty Rock which is a beautiful purpley taupe colour. Definitely try these if you’re a fan of stress-free, easy to apply makeup!

Maison Louis Marie ‘No 4 Bois De Balincourt’

Of course it wouldn’t be a favourites if I didn’t mention which fragrance I’ve been loving this month. Recently I’ve been wearing the scent ‘No 4 Bois De Balincourt’ by Maison Louis Marie almost every day and it’s definitely become one of my favourite perfumes within my fragrance collection. To me, this fragrance smells super creamy but it actually has top notes of sandalwood and cedar wood with a nutty undertone and earthy vetiver notes. This scent is sexy and sultry and as you can tell I’m crazy about it! You need this in your life.

Nars Soft Matte Concealer

You’re probably so sick of hearing me talk about the Nars Soft Matte Concealer but I just couldn’t resist including it in my favourites because I’ve literally been using this stuff non stop! I honestly think this is the best concealer I’ve ever used in my life, I absolutely adore it! What’s great about this concealer is that it’s matte but it doesn’t make my skin look dry or cakey at all. I normally use this stuff to cover up blemishes but I also like to use it under my eyes to get rid of any dark circles and it works a treat on both. It’s honestly so amazing and you should definitely give this stuff a whirl!

RMS Beauty Signature Set ‘Pop Collection’

Another product that I’ve been using non stop is the RMS Beauty Signature Set. The palette I have is the ‘Pop Collection’ and I absolutely love it! I’m a huge fan of cream products (you’ve probably heard me talk about my RMS Living Luminizer a billion times) and this palette has some of the most gorgeous cream based products that I’ve ever laid my eyes on. Within the compact is a bronzer, luminizer and a skin balm, as well as two shades of the multi use lip and cheek colours. I’ve been really enjoying mixing the two shades of lip to cheek products together and applying a light layer to my lips and the apples of my cheeks. This palette is perfect for the days when you don’t feel like wearing makeup but you just want a little something to bring your face to life.

Benefit ‘Hoola Lite’ Bronzer

I used the Benefit ‘Hoola’ Bronzer for years but always felt like it was just a liiiiittle too dark for my skin tone, so when I discovered the ‘Hoola Lite’ all of my bronzer dreams came true! If you have pale skin like me then you need to try the Hoola Lite because it’s actually the best bronzer I’ve ever used! Despite the fact that I absolutely hate the packaging (how inconvenient is that box though?) I pretty much use this everyday so that should tell you how much I genuinely love this stuff! This is such a great contour shade for me and it really helps to accentuate the angles of my face (and chisel away last nights pizza, know what I’m sayin’?) while still looking super subtle and giving me a natural looking glow. When I saw this bronzer I knew I would fall in love with it, and I did!

Nars & Antipodes Lipsticks

Onto my favourite products now – the lipsticks! This month I’ve been wearing the Nars ‘Orgasm’ lipstick to death and I’m pretty certain I’m not going to get sick of it any time soon. When I opened up the tube I didn’t think I’d actually like this lipstick as much as I do, but once I put it on I realised that I actually loved it! It’s a lovely pinky nude shade but what makes it so amazing is that it has this absolutely beautiful golden shimmer to it. Now, I’m not one for glittery lipsticks, but the shimmer in this shade is so subtle and gives my lips a gorgeous ‘glow from within’ kinda vibe. Two other shades that I just have to mention are by Antipodes. Lately I’ve been obsessed with the shade ‘Piha Beach Tangerine’ which is the perfect summery orange, as well as ‘Remarkably Red’ which is actually not very red (lol) but instead its a beautiful magenta colour. I love these shades but for me the reason why I love Antipodes lipsticks so much is because of the way that they feel on my lips. I love the shape of the bullet and the way that they apply, and the fact that they’re completely natural makes me love them even more! These are my go-to shades as we transition into Summer.

Tata Harper Clarifying Mask

Now let’s take a minute to talk about skincare. The standout product for me this month has been the Tata Harper Clarifying Face Mask. This Mask is great for blemish prone skin so I’ve been using this whenever I feel like my skin needs a deep cleanse. This mask is unique in the sense that it doesn’t dry and that’s something that I really like because I feel like it doesn’t dry my skin out. I love Tata Harper products because they always feel so kind and gentle on my skin. Definitely give this mask a go if your face can tend to be problematic.

Filorga Supreme Regenerating Lotion

About a month ago I was lucky enough to receive a bottle of the Filorga Supreme Regenerating Lotion and I was so excited to give this product a whirl! This product is kind of like a toner but it’s more hydrating which is great for my dry skin. I love using toners or essences before my regular moisturiser and I’ve been using this Supreme Regenerating Lotion during my morning and evening skincare routine for about 3 weeks now. I love this lotion because it feels (and smells) so fresh and light and I’ve really noticed how much my skin has improved since I’ve been using this stuff. I feel like this lotion has been giving my skin the surge of moisture that it craves and I just know I’m going to be using this for many years to come! Love it.

Elemis ‘Aching Muscles’ Super Soak

The last product that I want to talk about is the Elemis ‘Aching Muscles’ Super Soak. This soak is honestly the BEST thing ever!! If you’ve been working out and your muscles are aching trust me when I say that adding a dose of the super soak into a nice, warm bath will really help to soothe your aches and pains! I used this for the first time after a workout the other day and let me tell you, I can’t remember the last time I felt so zen! I’m such a bath person so of course I was guaranteed to end up falling in love with the Elemis Super Soak. Give it a go if you’re a bath person like me!

So those are all the beauty products that I’ve been loving throughout the month of June. Definitely make sure you head over to my YouTube channel to watch me talk about these products in a little bit more detail. Let me know if there are any products that you’ve been loving so that I can give those a try too!

Would love to try the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. All the british beauty bloggers are hyping it up recently. I bought the CC Cream several months ago, in the shade Light, but it was too dark on me! gave it away to my aunt, now waiting for Fair to come back in stock.

  • I am also obsessed with the IT Cosmetics CC Cream! I really want to try the Eye Brow pencil but you’ve also made me a little nervous to try it!

  • I love the It Cosmetics CC Cream too – it’s definitely a holy grail item for me. I really need to try the Hoola Lite, I’ve been using the original for years but like you feel like it’s just a tad too dark.

I love the Ombre Blackstars! Mine are getting on the old side so I should probably repurchase Misty Rock sometime soon. I love that NARS concealer too, it’s so good for pinpoint concealing a la Lisa Eldridge.
