NEW IN: SKINCARE

4th Oct 2017 - Beauty

Every time a new season rolls around I always get super excited to mix things up in my skincare collection. Over the past few weeks I’ve acquired a number of different products so I thought I’d put together a post to tell you guys a little bit about the new items on my bathroom counter.

I’ve been having major issues with my sleeping pattern recently which means that I’ve been fighting a never ending battle with my dark circles. The other week I opened up a bottle of the Tata Harper Illuminating Eye Crème and all of my dreams came true…this stuff is magic! The Illuminating Eye Crème is a shimmering blend of hydrating aloe juice, shea butter and REAL diamond dust! I like to massage the crème all over my upper and lower lids before applying my makeup but you can also gently press a little of the formula on the top of your concealer for extra glow. This stuff makes me look like I’ve had a solid 12 hour snooze even when I’ve been tossing and turning all night. I swear this is magic, give it a go!

One of the products that I’m most excited to tell you guys about is the Geranium & Orange Blossom Luxury Face Oil by Rodin. Most of you will already know by now that I’m completely obsessed with pretty much everything Linda Rodin so it was obvious that I was going to end up falling in love with this luxury face oil as soon as I laid eyes on it. This is definitely one of the more pricier items that I’ve acquired recently (I was actually lucky enough to receive this in the mail) but if you’re looking for something that feels ultra luxurious then it’s definitely worth paying extra for. This face oil is not something that I’m gonna be using in my everyday routine, but every now and then when I fancy treating my skin to something seriously special then this stuff is just the ticket. The treatment is blended with eleven essential extracts which come together to create a formula that hydrates and illuminates the skin like nothing else. Not only that but the gorgeous geranium and orange blossom scent is the definition of dreamy.

I’ve heard so many people talking about the Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream lately so I was super excited when I received a tub in the mail! The Brazilian Bum Bum Cream is a tightening and moisturising formula for your butt (although you can totally use it on the rest of your body too!) What I love about this cream is that it’s super duper rich so it’s going to be a great product to use throughout the winter. The formula is a dreamy blend of nourishing cupuaçu butter, açai and coconut oil alongside the native amazonian ingredient guaraná which is known to stimulate circulation. Apparently this cream does an amazing job at minimising cellulite and works hard to firm and tone your body, not only that but its sweet nutty scent is what dreams are made of. I’m yet to try this stuff out but I can’t wait to apply a generous scoop next time I hop out of the bath. Does this mean I can stop doing squats?

You all know by now that I’m the big lover of Pai Skincare and I feel like I’ve tried their toner a long time ago but it’s time to revisit the Pai Lotus & Orange Blossom BioAffinity Toner. Like all Pai products, the BioAffinity Toner is specifically targeted to those who suffer with sensitive skin. It’s an alcohol-free soothing and toning lotion which hydrates and restores the skin’s natural PH balance (which helps to even out tone and improve the texture of your skin). To use this toner you just apply a spritz or two onto my cleansed face and neck before following with a serum or moisturiser.

I’m always on the hunt for a new face mask and the Deep Moisture Mask by Clarks Botanicals is one that’s made it’s way into my collection recently. I constantly find myself in a never ending battle with dry skin so this mask feels like it was pretty much made for me. The Deep Moisture Mask is a super duper nourishing skin treatment which hydrates and soothes while restoring the skin’s natural glow. Like all Clarks Botanicals products, this mask is blended with magical Jasmine Absolute which is an essential oil known for its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and immuno-stimulating properties. The Jasmine Absolute is mixed with dreamy Japanese Green Tea which come together to form an intense anti-oxidant treatment. I think this mask is gonna be great for the coming seasons as it’s really going to quench and repair my dry skin. I’ve also heard that this is fab for those of you with acne prone complexions. I’m excited to use this over the Fall and Winter!

Another luxury item that I’ve recently acquired is the Moisturising Soft Lotion by La Mer. If you’re a fan of La Mer skincare then you’ll know that every single one of their products is a dream to both apply and wear and the Moisturising Soft Lotion is no exception. Much like the Clarks Botanicals Mask, this lotion has been specifically designed for those who suffer with dryness and sensitivity. The soft lotion feels incredibly silky and weightless and does an amazing job at locking in a layer of moisture that lasts all day. La Mer skincare is particularly pricey but if you’re on the market for a product that feels super special then this is a great item to add to your skincare collection. (I also have the La Mer Illuminating Eye Gel on my wish list!)

You might have noticed that I’ve been having a lil bit of a love affair with Oskia skincare lately so I wanted to finish this post off by telling you guys about one of their products that I’ve fallen in love with over the past few weeks. I’ve been using the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel pretty much non stop recently and another product that I’ve been obsessing over is the Oskia City Life Cleansing Concentrate. The City Life Concentrate is a refreshing and gentle concentrate for environmentally stressed complexions. Basically this concentrate is full of magical ingredients which work hard to rid the skin of nasty pollutants. What’s great about this stuff is that a little goes a long way, I usually apply the concentrate to my cleansed face right before I jump in the shower or hop in the bath. I just take a pea sized amount into the palm of my hand mix it with a few drops of warm water before massaging it into a lather onto my skin. As well as leaving my skin pollutant free it also does a great job at getting rid of any remaining makeup and leaves my face feeling super duper refreshed. The City Life Concentrate is definitely one of the stand out products for me this month and I think you guys will love it just as much as I do.

So those are some of the skincare items that have made their way onto my radar recently. I hope you guys enjoyed discovering these products with me! What’s new in your skincare collection? I’d love to know! Leave me a comment down below and tell me what you’re obsessing over lately.
