Five Things I’m Loving

Paloma Wool Coat

I’m obsessed with this Paloma Wool Venus Puffer Coat. I think brown is having its moment and I cannot complain. I love the geometric 70’s inspired pattern. This jacket is super practical…. it actually keeps me warm, so it’s a winner in my book. If you can’t getting on the waitlist for this jacket, I also love this one , or this one, both are similar!

The Secret History

This book was incredible….such a page turner. If you like mysteries and suspense, give it a go. I brought this book with me on my weekend getaway to the Cotswolds back in November, and It was the perfect thriller to read while cozying up next to the fire.

While I don’t want to give much away, this book centers around a murder, theres a bit of romance, lots of suspense, and I can promise you the ending is not what you think. Let The Secret History be your perfect weekend read.

Weekend Getaway

I’m not sure I could ever get tired of taking a weekend getaway. I shared over on my Instagram Stories, a bit of a recap of my weekend getaway to the Cotswolds, but if you missed it. I stayed at a beautiful house near Stroud, with the most incredible bath tub and a farm with goats!

Every now and then I feel like I need a break from London (I’ve considered moving out of central, for a life more reminiscent of this). Sometimes taking a weekend away, a place with more greenery for Effie to run around, and me to escape the never ending emails in my inbox, is the perfect compromise.

I always feel so refreshed and ready to tackle work once i’ve had a peaceful weekend to recharge.

Tower 28 Blush & Highlighting Balm

For the last few months, the Tower 28 Luminous Tinted Balm and the SuperDew Highlighter Balm, have been staples in my makeup routine. I truly love how natural they look once applied. The blush is super subtle, yet buildable. I find the blush which is a cream based balm, blends really well into the skin when applied over just about any foundation. The SuperDew Highlighter Balm is such a unique product. It’s basically a clear highlighter. It truly mimics that glow you get on your cheek bones on a warm summer day. At the same time though, it’s not greasy. I will often use the Luminous Tinted Balm in AfterGlow alongside the SuperDew Highlighter without any foundation. I love the natural look of these two paired together!

Pilates

So Pilates, the devil workout. Seriously though, pilates is no joke…especially a reformer based class. At the same time, I love how good I feel after a class. I really like how it’s a low impact workout unlike running which is really hard on my knees.

It’s my goal this year to choose a workout class, and stick to it. I have a Peloton bike, but I feel best when I workout in a class setting. It’s also a way for me to get outside my flat, and really disconnect from work.

I’ve only done a few classes so far, but I’m really liking Tempo Pilates. They have a few locations around London. Worth checking out, if your looking to change up your workout routine!
