Winter ‘why nots?’

Things to do when it feels too cold to do anything…

Winter clean- I have never really understood the reasoning behind a ‘spring clean’. I mean sure it’s about new beginnings, fresh spring air and all that jazz but I don’t know about you as soon as the sun starts to peak its head through those wintery clouds… I am outside. So naturally, I think winter is the perfect time to undertake a mahoosive clean. What better time than the actual beginning: January. Also it is freeeeezing and I’m indoors anyway so why not?

At home work out- I love going to classes like pilates and yoga but I often have a pretty hectic schedule, especially at the beginning of the year so I love a home workout. I am a reformer girl through and through when it comes to pilates, but sometimes a mat workout is where it’s at! You clearly cannot beat old school. I love to whip out my mat in the mornings and do a little routine as the sun rises and splashes my living room with gorgeous amber hues. Its the perfect way to start an otherwise cold winter day!

Cook/bake- I have never really been one for cooking however I am making a conscious effort this year to be more mindful of what I am eating. Which sadly means way less deliveroo’s any way more time in the kitchen. And I must say, when it’s that cold outside, why not be in the kitchen standing over a risotto with a glass of wine?

A getaway- This is a MUST. I love a little getaway during the winter months, whether that  be escaping to somewhere hot ( to remind me of better times !), or a countryside staycation vibe, either one is perfect for those winter days when you just don’t know what to do with yourself! Go sunbathe on that beach or snuggle up in that cabin!
