How to Beat the Winter Blues…

Winter is here again and I am all about fighting the blue feeling it brings with it! Here are just a few of the ways I like to beat the blues…

Baths- of course no.1 on my list is baths! Would it be my list without them? I am a self-confessed bath addict and I truly believe there is no better way to beat the winter blues than bathing! A bath at any time is great but in the Winter, a nighttime bath just hits different. The candles. The ambient lighting. The aromas. The steam. Ahhhhh. I love it. I love to use MIRROR WATER’s SOAK Bath Salts to get extra zen and in relaxation mode. A Winter bath will warm the cockles of your soul.

Walks- I know it’s cold out but nothing clears my mind more than a good walk. It is such a useful tool for me to really rebalance myself if I’ve had a particularly difficult day or week. I love to get outside with my Eff-dog and just breathe. I do love to listen to music and podcasts as well when I’m out but sometimes just the good ol’ fresh air is enough.

See friends- The Wintertime can be quite isolating. People are busy, work is busy, life is busy! Everyone seems to go into hibernation: don’t worry this is not a public call out, I am culprit no.1! If I don’t have to be out I will not be. But that is such a toxic cycle for me and my mental health, so a great tip is to make those plans! DO NOT CANCEL! Go to that dinner! Go for coffee! It’s sometimes just enough to see, smile and laugh with a friend.

Eat good food at good restaurants- Of course it’s always important to stay nourished, but especially in the winter, I tend to lean on food to comfort my soul! So one of my favourite ways to beat the blues is to eat gooood food at glorious restaurants! I have so many on my london food list that I need to tick off, here are just a few:
Berenjak, Soho
Bintang, Camden
Noci, Islington
Hoppers, Kings Cross
Fallow, Soho
