Winter Body Care Routine

I love my Winter body care rituals. I always feel slightly ‘run-down’ in the winter so I do tend to take extra time and care with my body care routine:

I love dry brushing, particularly at this time of year when everything just feels a little chapped and dry. It is so good for exfoliation, lymphatic drainage and increasing energy and circulation, which is definitely needed right now!

I also love a body scrub, my favourite being BUFF by MIRROR WATER of course, but will often not do both dry brushing and scrubbing on the same day, especially in the winter when my skin is a little more sensitive.

Fake tan is my life saver in the Winter. From the months of December - March I am ghostly and will do whatever it takes to not be. While I would love to be able to obtain a natural tan, this is pretty much impossible in London during the winter, unless I am constantly jetting off somewhere but that's unsustainable for the planet (and my wallet!). So instead, Isle of Paradise’s fake tan has been my go-to. I love the glow that it gives me, it’s not patchy and it’s not orange!

I love to pair my tan with glossy body oils and balms, both by MIRROR WATER (SMOOTH and RUB), because they make me glow! SMOOTH is my crutch in the winter because it makes me look so glowy. It has a non-greasy formula so it’s perfect for the winter because it doesn’t get messy under all my layers! I also ALWAYS have RUB on me in the winter! It’s just the perfect little balm for all my dry, chapped spots that seem to miraculously materialise in the winter. Once again it’s completely non-greasy so super convenient to keep in my bag or on my desk and not have to worry about an oily keyboard!

Finally, of course, I love a hot bath to warm the cockles. My baths always include MIRROR WATER’s SOAK Bath Salts, a gorgeous bath oil such as Susanne Kaufmann’s Bath for the Senses, it is just gorgeous, and of course a candle: my favourite right now being Boy Smells’ Kush candle.
